We’re looking for experienced Siding Installers to join our growing team. This position is based out of our Collingwood showroom but services customers in Grey, Bruce and Simcoe counties.

  • Have a valid G-class driver’s license

About The Position

As a Home Team Siding Installer, your day-to-day tasks will involve driving to job sites, removing old siding products from homes and cottages and professionally installing a wide range of industry-leading siding products. These can include vinyl, steel and aluminum plank siding as well as engineered wood plank siding, shake siding and more.

Salary: This position allows qualified installers to make anywhere from $80,000-$120,000 a year on average. You determine your workload and ultimately, your income.

As a Home Team Installer Helper, your day-to-day tasks will involve assisting our team of installers by removing old products from homes and cottages, prepping for the installation of new products, installing new products and tidying up jobsites upon completion. Learning is a large part of the culture at Van Dolder’s Custom Exteriors and so successful candidates can expect to learn more about custom exterior renovations and ultimately grow within the role.

About You

We’re looking for a dependable and punctual individual with an interest or passion for carpentry and home improvement. We take pride in our attention to detail, and the ideal candidate will too. On top of a hard work ethic, the ideal candidate will:

  • Have an interest in or passion for carpentry
  • Possess basic carpentry knowledge (ability to read a tape measure, etc.)
  • Be comfortable using basic hand and power tools (tape measure, hammer, saw, etc.)
  • Have a valid G-class driver’s license and transportation to and from our showroom each day (transportation to jobsites will be provided)
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Existing Working At Heights certification is considered an asset
  • Previous construction or carpentry experience is considered an asset

Salary: Starting wage for this position is $17/hr with the opportunity for experienced candidates to earn up to $25/hr.

The Van Dolder’s Home Team is looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our growing Home Team of talented people. This position is based out of our Owen Sound location but will be required to service customers in Grey, Bruce and Simcoe counties.  This is a full time, permanent position.  The Service Technician role will be a key contributor with direct impacts to the success of our company.  This role is responsible for visiting a combination of past and current job sites, examining complex and intricate products while providing the necessary repairs and solutions to complete a job. The successful candidate will have the use of a company vehicle outfitted with all the necessary tools needed to complete his / her job.

What Experience do you bring?

The successful candidate is a client-focused individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience installing windows, doors, and siding. However, any experience in the construction industry will be considered an asset.  A valid “G” license and a current driver’s abstract are also a requirement for this position.

The Van Dolder’s Home Team is looking for an experienced Order Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our growing Home Team of talented people. This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our Collingwood location. This role will appeal to you if you are a highly-organized administrative professional who takes pride in the accuracy of your work, have a strong work ethic, a keen attention to detail and the ability to meet timelines on a consistent basis. As the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting warehouse personnel with administrative side of shipping & receiving
  • Enter receipt of products into companies ERP system
  • Post Shipments in ERP system as product leave the facility
  • Prepare shipping documents for deliveries
  • Work closely with warehouse supervisors & scheduling to arrange shipments as required
  • Advise customers when product is in and available for pick up or delivery
  • Assist with customer inquiries
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

What Experience Do You Bring?

The successful candidate is a detail-oriented individual with 2-5 years of experience in shipping and receiving practices. They will also possess efficient and accurate data entry skills, experience working in an ERP environment, a full understanding of the order entry, process and the flexibility to navigate changing business demands.

About the Position: As a key member of The Home Team, the Purchasing position is a key function in support of our sales and installation departments. The Purchasing role is to maintain strong relationships with our preferred suppliers and to procure and expedite required items as the key to the company’s success and growth.

This position will include the following responsibilities:

· Working with our Approved Suppliers ensuring their performance based on key indicators of cost, quality and on time delivery.

· Work closely with the Sales Department to procure what is needed on a timely basis.

· Ensure that Purchase Order accuracy and that Supplier’s products and/or services will meet specified requirements and the established targets.

· Establish and maintain effective relationships with best-in-class, dependable Suppliers.

· Monitor, analyze and report on Purchase Price variances on a monthly basis.
Process purchase orders based on the demands of the business.

· Monitor & improve EOQs and inventory performance.

About You: The successful candidate will ideally have the following education and experience

· Related post-secondary education (i.e. College Diploma in Business Administration or Materials Management)

· Experience and knowledge of purchasing consumer goods

· 3-5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in consumer goods or related industry.

· 3-5 years’ experience with MRP/ERP (SAP, Oracle, AX and others)
