Andy Van Dolder began his career in the home improvement business in his teens, selling aluminum doors for his brother out of the back of his pick up truck. In 1964 he opened a business called Cash & Carry Aluminum in Annan, Ontario just outside of Owen Sound. As Andy’s sons, Kris and Tim joined the business and over time their view and vision of the business grew into what is now known as Van Dolder‘s Home Team. In 2000, the business expanded to have a secondary location set up in Collingwood Ontario. Andy, Kris and Tim continued to expand the business and in 2009 a village-style showroom was built just off Hwy 26 in Owen Sound. In 2018 they constructed a new facility in Collingwood on mountain road featuring their trademark village-style showroom. Andy Passed away suddenly on March 4, 2019, at the age of 71. His son Kris continues to carry on his legacy with the Van Dolder’s Home Team.
